The next meeting of the Missouri River Association of States and Tribes (MoRAST) will be held on October 1, 2013 at ‘The Lodge at Deadwood’ in Deadwood, South Dakota. We are inviting Congressman Kevin Kramer from North Dakota to be our keynote speaker.

The reservation number for the hotel is 605-584-4800, the deadline for reservations is August 31, 2013.

Meeting Spring 2013 (Rapid City, SD)

The spring meeting of the Missouri River Association of States and Tribes (MoRAST) will be held March 5-6,  2013 in Rapid City, South Dakota at the Journey Museum.  The room block is at the Ramkota under MoRAST and government rates (state and federal) are available.

We will begin at 1PM on the 5th and adjourn at 1PM on the 6th. More detail about the plans for the meeting will be provided later.

Meeting Fall 2012 (Bismarck, ND)

The fall meeting of the Missouri River Association of States and Tribes will be held on Sept. 20-21 at the North Dakota Game and Fish headquarters Building, 100 N Bismarck Expressway in Bismarck, ND.

The morning of the 20th we will have a field trip to Garrison, that should include the Dam, powerhouse and hatchery.  We will plan a stop with the USGS to discuss the geomorphology of the river in the Bismarck-Mandan reach. We will begin our business meeting at 1:30 PM on the 20th and conclude by noon on the 21st.

A block of MoRAST rooms has been arranged at the Ramkota hotel in Bismarck. Ask for the MoRAST room block when making your reservation to get the group rate.

There is no registration fee required for attending the MoRAST meeting, but advance notice of attendance is requested so we can make adequate plans for meeting arrangements, break refreshments, etc.  Please let us know if you plan to attend by Sept 15.  Please provide notice of your name and affiliation by e-mail to Mike.Hayden@mo-rast.org, so that we can have name tags for all participants.
