MoRAST will hold an all day meeting on March 8, 2011 at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center in Nebraska City, Nebraska. In addition to the business session and program updates, the meeting will focus on water quality and sediment with a guest appearance by Karl Brooks, EPA Region 7 Administrator. The meeting will also include participation by one or more Commanders and other key officials from the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the US Bureau of Reclamation (USBR) and other Federal agencies. The agenda will also include an update on the status of the scoping process for the Missouri River Authorized Purposes Study (MRAPS) and a presentation on the Pick-Sloan Program by the USBR, both related to projects in the Missouri River Basin authorized by the 1944 Flood Control Act.

The Missouri River Conference and BiOp Forum organized by the Missouri River Natural Resources Committee (MRNRC) will be held March 9-11, 2011, also at the Lied Lodge and Conference Center. The Plenary Session will include well known speakers of general interest on the morning of March 9, followed by sessions on technical issues and BiOp implementation.
